Issues with requests in EU-WEST

We recently had an issue resulting in 503 responses from the API for many users. The root cause of this issue appears to have been AWS terminating servers but new servers not being provision within the required timeframes.

We've reached out to AWS for additional information. At present the requests appear to show that the instances were terminated because the load balancer saw them as unhealthy. We require additional information to understand why the instances did not perform as expected.
